I did some poking around, just in case, to make sure I hadn't accidentally set the DISPLAY variable in any of my profiles or anything, which I hadn't. Now, I was under the impression that I should never set the DISPLAY variable anymore, as X11/XQuartz should do this automatically anytime I try to call an X11 window. I found this odd, so I tried to open xterm on my own mac (locally), and got the following error: ![]() After updating, I tried this for the first time and my remote machine couldn't find my Mac's display. I use my machine almost constantly for remote work over SSH and X11. I recently updated to Mountain Lion from Lion on my 13" (Previous Gen) MacBook Air. ![]() After hours of Googling, fiddling, and otherwise tearing my hair out, I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me with my problem!
